POINTS UPDATE: Sweet Maintains; Schuchart’s Perfect Weekend

Brad Sweet Races ahead of Carson Macedo
Latest points update after River Cities and Red River Valley

Keep up with the chase for the 2023 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series championship.

LATEST RACE(S): River Cities Speedway (August 25), Red River Valley (August 26)

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: Two more nights, two more consistent finishes for Brad Sweet and his Kasey Kahne Racing crew. The Grass Valley, CA native notched results of fourth and sixth in North Dakota to ever so slightly extend his championship lead from 50 to 56 points.

MOVERS:

Robbie Price (+1): Climbing into the top 10 over the weekend was Robbie Price during his rookie World of Outlaws campaign. Now Price has an opportunity to close in on ninth as the tour heads to the region he cut his teeth in – the Pacific Northwest.

CLOSING THE GAP:

Logan Schuchart (4th): North Dakota was especially kind to Logan Schuchart as he picked up a pair of wins aboard the Shark Racing #1S. While the gap to third is still sizeable, the two wins did allow him to close from 228 points to 202 markers behind David Gravel for the next spot.

Donny Schatz (6th): Two nights in home territory led to a productive showing for Fargo, ND’s Donny Schatz. The 10-time Series champion posted finishes of third and seventh to close in a tad on Gio Scelzi for a spot in the top five. Only 24 points are between them.

James McFadden (13th): Roth Motorsports driver – James McFadden – continues to take chunks out of the margin between he and Noah Gass. The Australian has strung together four top fives in the last five races and sits 38 points out of 12th.
