POINTS UPDATE: Sweet Maintains; Haudenschild Nears Top Five

Sheldon Haudenschild racing at Beaver Dam
Latest points update after Beaver Dam

Keep up with the chase for the 2023 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series championship.

LATEST RACE(S): Beaver Dam Raceway (June 16-17)

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: A pair of third place finishes at Beaver Dam maintained the points lead for Brad Sweet. The Kasey Kahne Racing driver has finished third in three of the last four races and hasn’t been worse than sixth in the last six events.

CLOSING THE GAP:

David Gravel: Sweet might’ve stayed atop the points with his two podiums, but the driver ahead of him each night was his closest competitor in the standings – David Gravel. The Watertown, CT native brought the Big Game Motorsports #2 home second both nights in Wisconsin, trimming Sweet’s advantage to 10 markers.

Sheldon Haudenschild: After a tough recent stretch, Sheldon Haudenschild rebounded with a fifth on Friday before making his fourth Beaver Dam Victory Lane visit on Saturday. The two top fives brought him within 20 points of Donny Schatz for a spot in the top five of the standings.

Jacob Allen: For the first time since Eldora in early May, Jacob Allen posted consecutive top 10 results by running sixth on Friday and eighth on Saturday. Allen’s efforts brought him and the Shark Racing #1A crew within 60 markers of Brock Zearfoss for ninth after entering the weekend more than 80 points back.
