Latest points update after Pennsylvania & New York

Keep up with the chase for the 2024 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car championship.

LATEST RACES: BAPS Motor Speedway (July 24), Williams Grove Speedway (July 26-27), Weedsport Speedway (July 28)

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: David Gravel and the Big Game Motorsports crew look unstoppable at the moment. A pair of runner-ups kicked off the four-race stretch for Gravel, and then he delivered back-to-back victories at Williams Grove and Weedsport. The Huset’s Speedway No. 2 is on a roll of seven consecutive top two finishes. Gravel’s lead atop the points now sits at 110 markers.

MOVERS:

Kraig Kinser (+1): Kinser started the 2024 season having to dig out of a hole, but he made progress in that effort last week. The Bloomington, IN native managed to crack the top 10 in the standings during a week highlighted by a top 15 outing at Weedsport.

Landon Crawley (-1): Kinser’s gain was Landon Crawley’s loss as the Series rookie slipped to 11th. Four new tracks all provided the 16-year-old unique challenges leading to some struggles and the step down in the standings after missing the Feature at BAPS and one at Williams Grove.

CLOSING THE GAP:

Sheldon Haudenschild (7th): The last few weeks have seen Sheldon Haudenschild and the Stenhouse Jr.-Marshall Racing team beginning to put together some consistency. The Wooster, OH native has been in the top 10 in eight of the last 11 including four podium runs. He’s now only 26 points behind Logan Schuchart for the sixth spot.

Brock Zearfoss (9th): The midweek visit to BAPS resulted in Brock Zearfoss’ best finish of 2024 so far with a fourth-place run. The “Jonestown Jet” also collected a pair of top 15s at Williams Grove and Weedsport allowing him to take a 58-point chunk out of the gap between himself and Bill Balog.
