Keep up with the chase for the 2024 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car championship.
LATEST RACE: 81 Speedway (March 30)
CURRENT POINTS LEADER: David Gravel stayed hot as he continues the pursuit of his first World of Outlaws title. He recorded his second straight runner-up finish aboard the Big Game Motorsports #2, marking his fourth podium of the year. The effort allowed him to regain sole possession of the top spot in the standings with 1272 points.
MOVERS:
Donny Schatz (+1): The 10-time champion still hasn’t flinched in 2024. A charge from 12th to third at 81 gave Schatz three podiums in the last five races with the Tony Stewart/Curb Agajanian Racing crew. He’s also the only driver yet to miss the top 10 in 2024. The latest strong night moved him up to second in points only 18 markers behind Gravel.
Giovanni Scelzi (-2): Bad nights are bound to happen over the course of the World of Outlaws tour, and that’s what struck Giovanni Scelzi and KCP Racing at 81. Contact on a restart sent Scelzi flipping and ended his night early, leaving him with a 21st place result after finishing no worse than 10th through the first eight races. The wreck knocked him from a tie for the points lead to third.
Brock Zearfoss (+1): Topsy turvy would be an understatement to describe Brock Zearfoss’ night at 81 Speedway. A sixth-place finish in his Heat placed him in the Last Chance Showdown where he finished second to transfer. In the main event, he wheeled from 22nd to 11th before spinning and sustaining nose wing damage. After making repairs, he sliced all the way from the tail to eighth for his second top 10 of the year and climbed to ninth in points.
Landon Crawley (+1): The impressive rookie campaign for Landon Crawley continues as the 16-year-old cracked the top-10 in the standings after a 19th-place run at 81.
