Keep up with the chase for the 2024 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car championship.

LATEST RACES: Paducah International Raceway (April 19), Tri-State Speedway (April 20)

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: The weekend got off to a disastrous start for David Gravel with a crash at Paducah leading to a DNF and a 23rd-place finish. He and the Big Game Motorsports team rebounded to a runner-up result at Tri-State for Gravel’s eighth podium of the season helping him maintain the points lead.

CLOSING THE GAP:

Donny Schatz (2nd): It wasn’t the strongest week for Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb Agajanian Racing with finishes of seventh and 11th, but they still made up points as Schatz eyes his 11th title. The Fargo, ND driver is 34 markers behind Gravel for the top spot.

Giovanni Scelzi (3rd): Solid showings of sixth and ninth for Giovanni Scelzi pushed his current streak of top 10s to six straight races. “Hot Sauce” trimmed the gap between himself and Schatz to 18 points heading into his team’s – KCP Racing – home track this weekend at Knoxville Raceway.

Logan Schuchart (4th): On Friday at Paducah, Logan Schuchart charged from 14th to eighth before logging a Tri-State top five the following night. Schuchart and the Shark Racing crew are down to 12 points back of Scelzi for a spot on the points podium.

Carson Macedo (5th): Two more top fives over the weekend helped Carson Macedo make a big step toward jumping a spot in the standings. The Jason Johnson Racing #41 is only four markers behind Schuchart for fourth. Macedo hasn’t missed the top five in the last five races.

Michael Kofoid (6th): There may be no driver on tour hotter than Michael “Buddy” Kofoid at the moment. A pair of podiums at Paducah and Tri-State put him at four straight top-three finishes aboard the Roth Motorsports #83. The Californian owns a 5.3 average finish in the last 10 races and is 40 points out of the top five.
