CURRENT POINTS LEADER: David Gravel is on fire right now. The Big Game Motorsports driver picked up a win and a runner-up over the weekend to push his streak of top two finishes to four consecutive races. The stellar weekend extended Gravel’s advantage to 40 points.
CLOSING THE GAP:
Giovanni Scelzi (3rd): A potentially bad night was salvaged at US 36 for Giovanni Scelzi as he drove from 25th to ninth in the Feature. The KCP Racing pilot followed that performance with his third podium of 2024 to trim the gap between himself and Donny Schatz for second in points to 18 markers.
Michael Kofoid (7th): The rookie season for Michael “Buddy” Kofoid is beginning to build some steam. A third on Friday marked his best finish of the year so far, and he came home a strong seventh on Saturday. He and Roth Motorsports are on a roll of six consecutive top 10s and down to eight markers behind sixth in points.
Brock Zearfoss (9th): A 10th place effort at US 36 gave Brock Zearfoss back-to-back top 10 finishes. The “Jonestown Jet” couldn’t quite push it to three straight at Arrowhead, but he still managed to close within eight points of eighth.
