CURRENT POINTS LEADER: Consistency continues to carry David Gravel toward his first World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car title. A pair of third place outings over the weekend marked his 26th and 27th podium finishes of the season. It allowed he and the Big Game Motorsports team to push their point lead above triple digits as the margin now sits at 106 markers.
CLOSING THE GAP:
Logan Schuchart (6th): It was a productive weekend for Logan Schuchart and the Shark Racing crew. A top five on Friday before an eighth on Saturday coupled with a tough weekend for Michael “Buddy” Kofoid allowed Schuchart to trip the gap between the two from 74 points to 40.
Sheldon Haudenschild (7th): The FENDT Jackson Nationals led to a strong pair of runner-ups for Sheldon Haudenschild. The Wooster, OH native is starting to build some momentum having taken the Stenhouse Jr.-Marshall Racing/NOS Energy Drink No. 17 to seven consecutive top 10s including four podiums. He’s now only 10 points out of the sixth position.
