A week after crowning a new Knoxville Nationals champion, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will crown another “Nationals” champion at Jackson Motorplex.

The Greatest Show on Dirt returns to Minnesota for the 46th FENDT Jackson Nationals, Aug. 16-17, with Saturday’s finale paying $25,000 to the champion.

Logan Schuchart and Carson Macedo are the most recent champions, having both won their two titles in back-to-back years. Schuchart won his with Shark Racing in 2020 and 2021 and then Macedo won his with Jason Johnson Racing the following two years.

Of current full-time World of Outlaws drivers, Schuchart and Macedo are tied with 10-time Series champion and 2018 Jackson Nationals champion Donny Schatz for the most wins (3) at the 4/10-mile track.

While Giovanni Scelzi has yet to win at Jackson Motorplex, he was one of the most consistent drivers at the Jackson Nationals last year with finishes of sixth, second and fifth, respectively. He and his KCP Racing team are championship contenders this year and entered the second half of the season by picking up a $20,000-to-win event at Beaver Dam Raceway.

In addition to the on-track action, fans will be treated to off-track fun with the Race Day Live show at the Sage Fruit stage both days before Hot Laps, featuring interviews with the biggest stars at the event.

Before the World of Outlaws role into town, the Jackson Nationals will kick off on Thursday with the Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360 Sprint Cars taking the top bill. They’ll also join the World of Outlaws Saturday night.
