Latest Points Update After Fairbury and Cedar Lake

Keep up with the latest changes in the 2024 World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model Series Championship chase.

LATEST RACE(S): Fairbury Speedway (July 26-27), Cedar Lake Speedway (Aug. 2-3)

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: Brandon Sheppard continues to lead the World of Outlaws CASE Late Models points standings, but the New Berlin, IL driver has heated competition on his tail for the Series points lead with 13 races remaining. After finishes of 15th at the Prairie Dirt Classic and 27th during the USA Nationals, Nick Hoffman and Bobby Pierce have kept Sheppard within striking distance. Sheppard currently leads by 26 points over Hoffman.

CLOSING THE GAP:
Nick Hoffman: The Mooresville, NC driver was able to make gains on Sheppard in the standings but was unable to fully capitalize on his chances each night. He finished second at the Prairie Dirt Classic and then followed that up with a fourth during the first night of USA Nationals. However, after that, he finished 15th and 12th.

Bobby Pierce: The Oakwood, IL driver continued to provide red-hot momentum from his No. 32 Low Voltage Solutions Late Model with his first Prairie Dirt Classic triumph and a second consecutive USA Nationals score. Pierce tied Billy Moyer and Darrell Lanigan with the most consecutive wins in a season (six) and surpassed Steve Francis in Series wins to sit 10th on the all-time wins list. Pierce was 154 points away from the lead at the start of July. Leaving the Cedar Lake Speedway weekend, the “Smooth Operator” is 76 points away from a chance at earning back-to-back Series titles.

Kyle Bronson: Bronson had an impressive weekend at Cedar Lake with two podium finishes – a third on Friday afternoon and a second on Saturday night. Though the Brandon, FL driver has yet to score a win with the World of Outlaws CASE Late Models in 2024, he has the most top five finishes of all drivers that have not won with 10, and laps led with 68. Leaving the first weekend of August, he moves up to fourth in the standings – two points over Robeline, LA driver Cade Dillard.
