JOHNNY’S FIVE: Attica Raceway Park (May)

Johnny's picks for Attica Raceway Park

Curious which drivers you should keep an eye on at each World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event? Series Announcer Johnny Gibson will bring you his five drivers to watch each week.

This week: Attica Sprint Car Showdown at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, OH, May 24

JOHNNY’S FIVE:

David Gravel
Why: Until proven otherwise, number one on this list every week. The defending champ is doing historical things. He’s the 2024 Brad Doty Classic winner, and has three total wins at Attica Raceway Park (including two with the World of Outlaws).

Cole Macedo
Why: The Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year contender returns to the track where he claimed the 2022 championship. Macedo most likely has more laps at Attica than at any other track on which the World of Outlaws will compete in 2025. Macedo has been to Victory Lane at Attica three times.

Sheldon Haudenschild
Why: The Wooster, OH native has three career Attica wins, but the closest he’s gotten to Victory Lane here with the World of Outlaws is a runner-up finish in 2023.  Attica is as close to his Wooster home as he’ll get for 2025 competition.

Cap Henry
Why: Though he’s struggled here with the World of Outlaws in the past, the Attica Raceway Park points leader has 23 career wins and comes into the event as the track’s point leader.

“Buddy” Kofoid
Why: Kofoid is the defending event champion and has two career Attica wins. He’ll be looking to avenge a bitter second-place finish last night at Williams Grove and make the long overnight drive worth it.

You can follow these drivers and more tonight at Attica Raceway Park by getting your tickets in advance or at the gate.

UP NEXT: World of Outlaws Chillicothe Classic at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, OH on Monday, May 26
