FVP Platinum Battery Showdown at Fairbury to provide fans with a surge of entertainment

FALS

FAIRBURY, IL — The high-speed, winged warriors of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series are set to return to Fairbury Speedway on Tuesday, June 4, for a fan thrilling FVP Platinum Battery Showdown.

Before the action Steidinger Foods is giving fans the chance to meet NASCAR-star Kyle Larson, who is $1 million wealthier after winning the Cup Series’ All-Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Larson will meet with fans at 4:30 p.m. on race day at the speedway.

Then when cars hit the track for the second time in the Series’ history, fans will be greeted by an action-packed night of exciting racing.

“The FVP team is proud to continue its partnership with the World of Outlaws during its incredible season of racing,” said FVP Senior Brand Manager Amber Misunas. “We’re extremely excited to be part of the event at Fairbury Speedway, which is sure to charge up fans.”

Fans were treated to a spectacular show at the quarter-mile track last year with Sheldon Haudenschild dueling with Shark Racing teammates, Logan Schuchart and Jacob Allen, for the win throughout the entire race. The Shark Racing duo made several attempts to pass Haudenschild, but the No. 17 NOS Energy Drink car was too strong. When the checker flag flew, Haudenschild claimed the victory with Allen settling for second and a hard charging Larson rounding out the podium.

Along with Haudenschild, 10-time Series champion Donny Schatz and Kasey Kahne Racing driver Brad Sweet are sure to also have a strong run during this year’s $10,000-to-win FVP Platinum Battery Showdown, as the two have traded the points lead throughout the early stage of the season.
