THIRD TIME’S THE CHARM: Hoosier Dirt Shootout Set for Friday, October 23 at Kokomo

$25,000-to-win World of Outlaws Late Models + DIRTcar Modifieds on Friday; then World of Outlaws Sprint Cars on Saturday at Indiana's Baddest Bullring

The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series announced today a Friday, October 23 rescheduled date for the inaugural $25,000-to-win Hoosier Dirt Shootout, presented by Illinois State Rifle Association, which was originally rained out at Kokomo Speedway on August 1-2.

Setting the stage for an exciting doubleheader weekend, fans of the Kokomo, Ind. quarter-mile will get the best of both worlds. On Friday, October 23, the Late Models take center stage along with the Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals finishing their program; and then on Saturday, October 24, the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series hit the track.

With the front eight rows of the main event already set, we know that the SSI Motorsports No. 20RT Longhorn piloted by Ricky Thornton Jr. of Chandler, Ariz. and the Shop Quik No. 18 Rocket driven by Chase Junghans of Manhattan, Kans. will be on the front row of the $25,000-to-win 75-lapper. Brandon Sheppard, Cade Dillard, Jimmy Owens and Shane Clanton make up rows two and three of the stacked feature lineup. Eight additional spots are still up for grabs in the $1,500-to-start race through the Last Chance Showdown and provisionals.

All tickets previously purchased for the Hoosier Dirt Shootout three weeks ago will be good if presented for the rescheduled race on Friday, October 23. Additional tickets will be available for purchase the day of the race at the track.

Next on the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model schedule is Lavonia Speedway, in Georgia, on September 4, followed by Lancaster Motor Speedway, in South Carolina, on September 5. Those who cannot make it to the track can watch every lap live on DIRTVision.
