PointsUpdate8-7

Keep up with the latest movers chasing the 2023 World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model Series championship.

LATEST RACE(S): Fairbury Speedway (July 29), Boone Speedway (Aug. 1), Cedar Lake Speedway (Aug. 3-5)

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: Three wins, a second, and a 10th in a five-race span allowed Bobby Pierce to extend his lead to triple digits (108) over second-place Chris Madden.

The Oakwood, IL driver scored a win at Boone and two at Cedar Lake – including the $50,000-to-win USA Nationals. He also added a second in the Prairie Dirt Classic.

MOVERS:

Brandon Sheppard (+2): Despite not reaching Victory Lane, four-time Series champion Brandon Sheppard’s consistency has carried him up the standings again, moving him into third for the first time this season.

The New Berlin, IL driver has only finished outside the top 10 once in the last 10 races, including five podiums.

Ryan Gustin (-1): Ryan Gustin earned a third-place finish at the Prairie Dirt Classic, but since then, four finishes outside the top 10 have dropped him one spot to fourth—156 points behind Pierce.

Brian Shirley (+2): Despite a 15th-place finish in the USA Nationals finale, Brian Shirley has been consistent in his last five races, earning two sixths, a fourth, and a fifth.  That consistency bumps the Chatham, IL driver back to fifth in the standings.

Nick Hoffman (-2): Germfree Labs Rookie of the Year leader Nick Hoffman earned a top 10 at Fairbury and on night two at Cedar Lake. However, a 13th, 21st, and 18th dropped him two spots in the standings to sixth.

Tanner English (+1): Like Sheppard, Tanner English’s consistency is helping him climb the World of Outlaws CASE Late Models standings. The Benton, KY driver hasn’t finished outside the top 10 in the last seven races and has sat on the podium in three of the previous four Series events.

He’s moved to seventh in the standings, four points behind Shirley for fifth.

Kyle Bronson (-2): Kyle Bronson has struggled over the last five World of Outlaws CASE Late Model events. His best finish was a ninth at Fairbury in the Prairie Dirt Classic. Those finishes have moved him two spots back in the standings to eighth.
