Keep up with the latest changes in the 2024 World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model Series Championship chase.

LATEST RACE(S): Mississippi Thunder Speedway (May 3-4)

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: 2023 Dairyland Showdown champion Brandon Sheppard unloaded his No. B5 Coltman Farms Racing Longhorn Chassis with similar speed to last year, finishing third on Friday and then backing it up with a hard-fought fourth-place finish on Saturday. With that, he keeps his points lead by 24 markers over Nick Hoffman.

MAKING MOVES:

Ryan Gustin (+2): “The Reaper” began the Dairyland Showdown on Friday by battling within the top five to earn a fourth-place finish. Then, Saturday was the breakthrough moment for Gustin and his Todd Cooney Racing squad, capturing their first Feature win of 2024 in the Dairyland Showdown. Leaving the Mississippi Thunder weekend, Gustin moved up to eighth in points.

Nick Hoffman (+1): The Mooresville, NC driver picked up his third Series win of the season Friday night, leaving him tied with Chris Madden for second in points. Then, with a second-place finish the next night, and Madden having a mechanical issue, Hoffman claimed second-place – 24 points behind Sheppard and 42 points ahead of Madden, who dropped to fourth.

Bobby Pierce (+1): “The Smooth Operator” continues to climb up the points standing after finishes of second and third at Mississippi Thunder Speedway. The performance bumped him to seventh in points – four points behind Kyle Bronson, who is sixth in points.

Chris Madden (-2): “Smokey” picked up a top-five finish on night one at Mississippi Thunder. However, on Saturday night, the Gray Court, SC driver suffered a terminal issue on the No. 44 machine that sent Madden back to his trailer and was scored with a last-place finish. The result dropped him solidly behind both Hoffman and Robeline, LA driver Cade Dillard to fourth in the standings.
