POINTS UPDATE: Bobby Pierce Extends Points Lead, Fourth Through Ninth Separated By 62 Points

Keep up with the latest movers chasing the 2023 World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model Series championship.

LATEST RACE(S): Atomic Speedway (Sept. 29-30)

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: After two nights at Atomic Speedway, Bobby Pierce added to the points lead again. With his 12th Series win of 2023 on Saturday and a fourth on Friday, the Oakwood, IL driver opened the gap over Chris Madden to 146 points, entering next weekend’s Hoosier Dirt Classic.

The “Smooth” Operator is now only seven races away from holding the championship trophy at the World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Nov. 1-4.

MOVERS: 

Chris Madden (+1): Madden broke a tie with Brandon Sheppard to reclaim the second spot in the Series standings. The Gray Court, SC driver used a sixth on Friday and a second on Saturday to jump ahead of the four-time Series champion by 18 points.

Brandon Sheppard (-1): After entering the weekend in a tie with Madden for second, the New Berlin, IL driver dropped to third in points. Sheppard finished 14th after a right rear flat tire on Friday before rebounding with a fifth on Saturday.

Nick Hoffman (+1): Germfree Rookie of the Year leader Nick Hoffman moved up one spot to seventh after finishing third on Friday and ninth on Saturday. The Mooresville, NC driver can climb back in the top five, sitting 26 points behind Brian Shirley for fifth. 

Dennis Erb Jr. (+1): Like Hoffman, defending Series champion Dennis Erb Jr. also climbed a spot to eighth after an eighth on Friday and a fourth on Saturday. The Carpentersville, IL driver is only 12 points behind Hoffman.

Tanner English (-2): A 10th on Friday and an 11th on Saturday were enough to drop Tanner English two spots to ninth. However, the Benton, KY driver isn’t far from reclaiming those two positions. English is four points behind Erb for eighth and 16 behind Hoffman for seventh.
