JOHNNY’S FIVE: Atomic Speedway

Johnny's picks for Atomic

Curious which drivers you should keep an eye on at each World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event? Series Announcer Johnny Gibson will bring you his five drivers to watch each week.

This week: World of Outlaws Chillicothe Classic at Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, OH, May 26

JOHNNY’S FIVE:

David Gravel
Why: Until proven otherwise, number one on this list every week. The defending champ is doing historical things. He picked up his first Atomic win in 10 career starts last year.

Cole Duncan
Why: Cole Duncan is unbelievably good at Atomic. He has 45 wins in 100 career starts! Duncan scored fourth-place finishes both nights last year against the World of Outlaws.

Sheldon Haudenschild
Why: Two of his three career Atomic wins have been in World of Outlaws competition (including last year). Haudenschild has also scored a top five in 50% of his career Atomic starts.

Carson Macedo
Why: Macedo’s 2023 World of Outlaws win was part of a streak of six podium finishes in his last seven Atomic starts. He’s looking to rebound after a VERY rough night at Attica.

Skylar Gee
Why: The 2022 OVSCA winner at Atomic comes off his first career World of Outlaws podium finish at Attica on Saturday. Atomic is another of the Ohio tracks were Gee has more laps (25 career starts) than most other World of Outlaws competitors.

You can follow these drivers and more tonight at Atomic Speedway by getting your tickets in advance or at the gate.
