Curious which drivers you should keep an eye on at each World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event? Series Announcer Johnny Gibson will bring you his five drivers to watch each week.
This week: Federated Auto Parts Showdown at Ohsweken Speedway in Ohsweken, ON, May 14-15
JOHNNY’S FIVE:
David Gravel
Why: Until proven otherwise, number one on this list every week. The defending champ is doing historical things. He’ll look to improve upon his career-best finish of fifth at Ohsweken. He has four top-10 finishes in five starts at the track.
Carson Macedo
Why: Though the Federated Auto Parts Showdown at Ohsweken will be his first World of Outlaws (and 410) start at Ohsweken, he swept the Canadian Nationals 360 weekend his last time at the track in 2017.
Stewart Friesen
Why: Friesen, the NASCAR Truck Series start and six-time Super DIRT Week champion, shocked the Outlaws at Ohsweken in 2015 – his only Series appearance at the track. In his only appearance with the World of Outlaws in 2024, he finished fourth at Weedsport Speedway, driving for Glenn Styres, who he’ll be driving for at Ohsweken.
Donny Schatz
Why: The 10-time Series champion has four World of Outlaws wins at Ohsweken and has earned a podium finish in 12 Series starts at the track.
Chris Windom
Why: Though he makes his Ohsweken debut this week, Windom drives a car owned and wrenched by Jason Sides, who won the Series’ first three races at Ohsweken (and was leading in the fourth before a mechanical issue sidelined him).
You can follow these drivers and more tonight at Ohsweken Speedway by getting your tickets in advance or at the gate.
