The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series heads to River Cities Speedway for the first of two visits this season, and all eyes are on Michael Kofoid. Fresh off his sixth victory of the year Monday night at Huset's Speedway, the Californian enters the weekend as the winningest driver on tour in 2026 and a clear favorite to park it in Victory Lane once again.
Kofoid was dominant at River Cities one year ago, sweeping both series events at the high-banked bullring. His recent success at the track only adds to the momentum he carries into this weekend.
Even before last season’s sweep, Kofoid had already shown impressive speed at River Cities. In 2024, he charged from 25th to finish seventh in one appearance and followed it up with a runner-up finish after leading 19 laps in another. With a proven record of passing cars and contending for wins at the facility, Kofoid looks primed for another strong performance as the World of Outlaws returns to Grand Forks.
