Brian Shirley and Bob Cullen Racing will return to the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model Series in 2025 with a new hunger for the championship.

It’ll be the Chatham, IL veteran’s fourth full-time season with the “Most Powerful Late Models on the Planet” aboard the No. 3S Late Model.

He and the team have already begun preparing for the 2025 season, building new Late Models and finding their groove through a mix of testing and racing.

“We’ve begun building new cars and having everything put in place to hopefully have a real run at winning a championship next year, so I’m looking forward to five minutes to myself and looking forward to get back going next year,” Shirley said.

“Squirrel” had a slow start to the first portion of the 2024 season but picked up a head of steam in the second half with five Series wins – coming at River Cities Speedway, Highland Speedway, Rocket Raceway Park and twice at Maquoketa Speedway.

“The biggest thing is continuing to prepare and work like we have been,” Shirley said. “We’ve been testing a lot to try and prepare ourselves to understand the race car better. Like this weekend, it’s gonna be a tough learning curve at these bigger racetracks. We haven’t quite found where we want to be yet, but that’s why we have three days to hopefully build a big enough notebook to help us get back to where we’re competitive here next year.”

The five-time DIRTcar Summer Nationals champion has an extended history at the tracks making their presence on the 2025 Series schedule.

He’s won at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 and Tri-City Speedway – two midwestern tracks that has him excited to return to the World of Outlaws.

“Any of the Midwest tracks, I have a good feel for them,” Shirley said. “Some of those (new) tracks we’ve had success at. Those are always nice to go back to because having a notebook from a race you’ve won doesn’t vary too much, so you’re always excited to get back to those places, and I’m always excited for the places we’re good at and having the opportunity to go chase for a championship.”

Shirley will kick off the 2025 World of Outlaws CASE Late Models season at DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park on Jan. 22-25, but not before wrapping up 2024 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte for the World of Outlaws World Finals, Nov. 6-9.

If you can’t make it to the track, every lap of the 2025 season will be live on DIRTVision.
