Tony Stewart Racing Tandem Feeling the Need for Speed at Eldora

INDIANAPOLIS (May 2, 2012) – Getting behind the wheel of any racecar takes a lot of nerve. Jumping in one that weighs in the neighborhood of 1,200 pounds and possesses more than 900 horsepower can be a little overwhelming. There isn’t much that intimidates the adrenaline junkies known as the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series, but if there were a track that might, it’d be the famed high banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The speed, coupled with the G-forces a driver feels circling the half-mile dirt oval owned by Tony Stewart, pushes the limits of bravery. It’s the thrill of being the best at Eldora that outweighs any sort of reluctance from the best Sprint car drivers in the world.

Kraig Kinser Perseveres at Knoxville

Bloomington, Ind. — April 29, 2012 — One of the great things about competing with the World of Outlaws is that there is always another race just around the corner, to quickly put a tough night in the rearview mirror. After some bad luck on the first lap of the main event of the Mediacom Shootout on Saturday night at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa, Kraig Kinser and his team dug deep, and persevered after making a couple of trips to the work area during the A-Feature, and were able to finish the main event.

Swindell Adds to Legendary Career at Knoxville Raceway

He retakes Outlaws points lead, which is swapped for the seventh time this season

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — April 28, 2012 — Simply put, Sammy Swindell’s statistics at Knoxville Raceway are phenomenal.

Swindell claimed the first World of Outlaws feature at the famed half mile in 1979 and he picked up the lone event – not counting the Knoxville Nationals – last season. He’s a former Knoxville Nationals champion and is closing in on 50 career feature victories at the track.

“It’s a track where you’ve really got to carry the corner speed and your momentum, and really hit the marks just right,” he said. “The line gets so narrow on the bottom and the top running it that you have to be almost perfect. I think my experience and the amount of laps help make up for that.”

That was evident Saturday night as Swindell passed Brian Brown for the lead on lap 15 and cruised to his 15th career World of Outlaws victory and 48th overall at Knoxville Raceway.
