September is here, and that means it’s time for the final stretch of the 2026 season.

Upon the conclusion of next weekend’s World 100 at Eldora Speedway, the focus of teams on the World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision will turn toward the final nine races of the season, which ends with the crowning of a champion at World of Outlaws World Finals.

Three race weekends are on the docket before then, with the first one coming at the end of the month at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park. The Most Powerful Late Models on the Planet will return to the 1/3-mile oval located 30 minutes south of downtown St. Louis on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25-26, for the King of the Arch.

The two-night weekend starts with a $12,000-to-win program on Friday before wrapping up on Saturday with a $20,000-to-win main event. This year’s visit to Pevely, MO will bring a return to the track’s original slot on the schedule, as the first seven World of Outlaws races at I-55 from 2005 until 2013 were held in September. The event has been a summertime tradition since then, with the last six races being held in either June or July.

Nine different drivers have won with the World of Outlaws at Pevely, but none more than Dennis Erb Jr. The 2022 Series champion is a three-time I-55 winner, scoring the first in 2012 and the other two in a weekend sweep in 2022. Other Pevely victors with the Series include Billy Moyer (2005), Clint Smith (2007), Shane Clanton (2008), Shannon Babb (2010), Josh Richards (2011, 2013), Brandon Sheppard (2017, 2018), Bobby Pierce (2025) and Drake Troutman (2025).

The Late Models will be joined by the MARS Modified Championship powered by Summit Racing Equipment, which will be racing for $2,000 to win on both nights.
