The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series makes its first-ever visit to Texarkana 67 Speedway on October 23-24, bringing two of Sprint Car racing's most storied events together for a historic doubleheader. Friday's seventh annual Jason Johnson Classic features a unique streak, with six different winners in six editions. David Gravel, James McFadden, Brad Sweet, Jacob Allen, Rico Abreu and Sheldon Haudenschild have each claimed the prestigious event, but no driver has won it twice. Saturday's 39th running of the Short Track Nationals marks the first time the historic event will be sanctioned by the World of Outlaws. Dating back to 1988, the event boasts a winners list featuring legends like Sammy Swindell, Gary Wright and Steve Kinser. Hank Davis swept both features in 2025, including the $20,000-to-win finale. With $20,000 on the line Friday and $25,000 Saturday, the Outlaws will look to write a new chapter in the history of both events.
