Larson Marks Racing Returns to Minnesota and South Dakota

NORTHERN TOUR CONTINUES: The Larson Marks Racing team continues their time up north this week for two more nights of racing. The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series will be competing at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., tonight and at Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, S.D., on Saturday.

CLASH AT THE CREEK: The World of Outlaws return to Deer Creek Speedway tonight for the first time since 2015. That year, Shane Stewart qualified 15th and won his heat race. He finished eighth in the dash, earning a fourth row starting spot in the 35-lap main event. Unfortunately, while running in the top-five, Stewart got too high on the racing surface and got into the wall and another competitor had nowhere to go and hit the LMR No. 2, ending his night and resulting in a 19th-place finish.

DAKOTA STATE FAIR SPEEDWAY RETURN: The Larson Marks team will return to Dakota State Fair Speedway this Saturday for the first time since 2015. In the team’s first visit to the 3/8-mile track, Stewart qualified seventh and finished third in his heat race. He charged from seventh to the runner-up spot in the 30-lap main event.

OUTLAW CLAY CLASSIC RECAP: Tuesday night at The Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway, Stewart qualified 15th and advanced two spots in the heat race to finish third. He started ninth in the main event, but slipped back early after getting over the edge of the track. Stewart was able to rebound and regain the positons he lost plus three more to finish sixth.

BUILDING MOMENTUM: Larson Marks Racing welcomed new crew chief, “Lethal” Lee Stauffer to the team last week and were able to win the first two races together. The two wins, have advanced Stewart to fourth in the championship point standings, 320 points behind leader Donny Schatz.

LARSON MARKS RACING OWNERS: Larson Marks Racing is co-owned by NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series (NMECS) driver Kyle Larson and driver/entrepreneur Justin Marks. Marks also owns GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, N.C. Larson will be at Daytona International Speedway this weekend to compete in the NMECS race.

LARSON MARKS RACING TEAM: The Larson Marks Racing team is led by crew chief Lee Stauffer of York, Penn., with Heath Moyle of Middleburg, Penn., and Dennis Christ of Fredericksburg, Penn.

LOOKING AHEAD: Following Saturday night’s race at Dakota State Fair Speedway, Larson Marks Racing will be back on track Friday, July 7 at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis
