By collecting the most votes, Sheldon Haudenschild and the Stenhouse Jr/Marshall Racing team have won the Federated Car Care Teamwork Counts contest and will receive an extra $5,000 at this year’s World of Outlaws banquet.
Six of the best acts of teamwork in the Federated Car Care Work Zone, during World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series events this year, were selected for fans to vote on. Haudenschild won with about 1,000 more votes than second place with his moment of finishing fourth at Cedar Lake Speedway on June 30 after being involved in a multi-car accident and having to go to the Work Zone.
“Definitely cool to highlight that for the team, and just never giving up, and getting back out there for a good finish, and now getting the fans involved,” Haudenschild said.
Along with Haudenschild, seven fans who voted in the contest also won prizes. Six won gift cards, while one lucky fan scored four VIP tickets to the Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, Feb. 5-17, 2024.
“The Federated Car Care Teamworks contest was a fun and exciting way to not only provide one race team with more money at the end of the year, but to also further engage with World of Outlaws fans,” said J.R. That teamwork can be seen one more weekend this year during the season-ending World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, Nov. 1-4.
Federated Auto Parts joined the World of Outlaws at the beginning of the year in a multi-year deal and has served as title sponsor for multiple events this year. Fans will see the icon auto parts brand again at the 2024 Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway.
