Jackson Speedway Hosts World of Outlaws Big Game Shootout on June 13

Fans,
Fans,

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. – Pressure is on the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series drivers as they tackle Jackson Speedway on Friday, June 13, for the Big Game Shootout brought to you by Eyecon Cameras and Big Game Treestands.

“Jackson is a different track,” Joey Saldana said. “It’s narrow and it’s fast so it makes it real technical getting into the corners. If you can’t get a good entry you’re not going to make any speed down the straightaways.”

Saldana won his heat race and finished with a seventh-place result during the lone World of Outlaws race at Jackson Speedway last year.

Paul McMahan, who was the fast qualifier and sixth-place finisher last season, said it is crucial to maintain consistency lap after lap.

“It’s a big, fast place,” he said. “It’s one of those places you can’t make a mistake. It’s hard to make gains on cars there so you’ve got to hit your marks every time.”

Neither Saldana nor McMahan have captured a World of Outlaws win at Jackson Speedway, where 20-time series champion Steve Kinser owns a series-leading three victories. Fellow Tony Stewart Racing driver Donny Schatz claimed last year’s race to give him two triumphs.

Defending series champion Daryn Pittman, three-time series champion Sammy Swindell and inaugural race winner Bobby Davis Jr. are the only other drivers to record a win at Jackson Speedway.
