Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. – Jackson Speedway will host its lone World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event on Friday, June 13, for the Big Game Shootout brought to you by Eyecon Cameras and Big Game Treestands.
Highlighting the annual visit from the premier sprint car series is the “Salute to the King” tour, which showcases 20-time series champion Steve Kinser as he tackles his final attempt at winning another championship.
Kinser has earned a series-best three feature victories at Jackson Speedway and he is only one of two drivers – along with Tony Stewart Racing teammate Donny Schatz – to claim multiple wins on the half-mile track.
“Any time you go to a track you run good at you look forward to going there,” Kinser said.
However, Kinser is quick to note that just because he has had prior success doesn’t mean he is set up to win this year’s race.
“That’s the thing about dirt track racing,” he said. “The track can be so much different from time to time.”
Kinser’s first triumph at Jackson Speedway came in 1988. He also won in 2004 and 2010.
Schatz claimed last season’s event and he was also victorious in 2006.
Championship points leader Daryn Pittman picked up his lone win in 2005 with three-time series champion Sammy Swindell winning in 1988. Bobby Davis Jr. earned the victory in the inaugural race in 1987.

Tailgate infield parking is available at $20 per car. Each person is required to purchase a general admission ticket.
Also, spectators can upgrade any ticket to a pit pass for only $10 on race day.
