UNOH DIRTcar Nationals Presented by Summit at Volusia Speedway Park
BARBERVILLE, Fla. – Feb. 11, 2013 – Last season was one of the most competitive in the storied history of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series.
A late surge by Donny Schatz allowed him to capture his fifth championship and first since claiming four consecutive from 2006-09.
Schatz was recently selected in the Media Poll as the favorite to repeat for the 2013 campaign, which kicks off this week with the UNOH DIRTcar Nationals Presented by Summit Racing Equipment at Volusia Speedway Park – the fastest half-mile track in the country, where Schatz has collected a World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series leading five wins.
However, seven other full-time Outlaws have earned at least one feature victory at the facility, where the eventual series champion has picked up a victory during four of the last eight years.
