The road to Dave Smith Motors World of Outlaws World Finals is nearing its conclusion.
October brings four race nights that will play a crucial role in determining the 2026 World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision champion, as well as the allocation of more than $1.1 million in end-of-season points fund payouts.
The Series will visit two tracks in October on opposite ends of the southeast, with one of them welcoming the World of Outlaws for the first time ever next month.
Here’s a look at what’s ahead:
Boothill Speedway | Bayou Classic | Oct. 2-3: The Most Powerful Late Models on the Planet are heading back to Louisiana for another edition of the fastest-growing dirt track event in the Mid-South.
Boothill first appeared on the schedule in 2024 for a single-night, $15,000-to-win program won by Ryan Gustin. The support for the inaugural event was rewarded in 2025, when the Bayou Classic expanded to a two-night affair with $50,000 on offer in the Saturday finale.
Gustin was again victorious in the swamp last year, beating Bobby Pierce in an exhilarating battle in the final laps.

Modoc Speedway | Modoc 100 | Oct. 23-24: It’s been over four years, but the World of Outlaws is coming back to South Carolina.
Modoc Speedway, located 30 miles north of Augusta, GA on the banks of the Savannah River, reopened this season following a $2 million renovation led by the track’s new owner, Ronnie Powell. The goal was to transform Modoc into a facility capable of hosting national-level events, and that milestone will be reached when the World of Outlaws come to town for the Modoc 100.
Modoc’s first national Late Model race will be the latest chapter in a long history of Super Late Model racing at the track. The Xtreme DIRTcar Series held its finale at Modoc in its first two years of competition, in 2020 and 2021, and the Southern All Stars, Southern Nationals Series, Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series, Ultimate Super Late Model Series and several other regional tours have all made stops at Modoc in the past.
The event creates a new three-week stretch of Late Model racing in the Carolinas to wrap up the 2026 season. The World of Outlaws season concludes at The Dirt Track at Charlotte during World Finals two weeks later (Nov. 4-7), with the World Short Track Championship (Oct. 29-31) situated in between, featuring the top Crate Late Model racers in the southeast competing at Charlotte.
