Weather Postpones NAPA Auto Parts Outlaw Showdown

World of Outlaws Sprint Car event at Eagle Raceway reset for Wednesday, Sept. 19

EAGLE, Neb. — April 26, 2012 — The NAPA Auto Parts Outlaw Showdown at Eagle Raceway originally scheduled for Friday night has been postponed to Wednesday, Sept. 19. Rain has soaked the area this week, and more rain on Friday is expected to be combined with cold and windy conditions.

Tickets that were purchased in advance for Friday night will be valid for the event on Sept. 19.

Kerry Madsen – Busy Week Ahead!

(Bill W) April 25, 2012 – Kerry Madsen and the Keneric Racing #29 team had a fast car again last weekend in World of Outlaws competition in Sedalia, Missouri on Friday and Haubstadt, Indiana on Saturday.  This week, the WoO has three events planned.  Tonight, they will travel to Farmer City, Illinois, on Friday they tackle the high-banked Eagle (NE) Raceway, and Saturday, Knoxville (IA) Raceway will play host.

4/25/2012 – Farmer City Raceway

FARMER CITY, Ill. — April 25, 2012 — Donny Schatz held off Brad Sweet to pick up win No. 3 on the season after the top-four drivers crashed on a restart on lap 13.

Leader Kerry Madsen and runner-up Daryn Pittman spun in turn one. Sammy Swindell, who entered the race as the points leader and was running third in the race, had nowhere to go and collided with Madsen and Pittman. Fourth-running Craig Dollansky swerved off the track to avoid the mess and spun around. That handed Schatz, who was running fifth, the lead and he led the final 28 laps to claim the victory. The World of Outlaws compete at Farmer City, Eagle and Knoxville this week

FARMER CITY, Ill. — April 24, 2012 — With a trio of races in a four-day span across the Midwest this week, the World of Outlaws schedule is heating up.

The Outlaws are headed to Farmer City Raceway for the first time since 2003 for an event on Wednesday, followed by the first race at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., since 2009 on Friday for the NAPA Auto Parts Outlaw Showdown. The World of Outlaws wrap up the weekend with its first event at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday.

World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series At a Glance

Farmer City Raceway, Eagle Raceway, Knoxville Raceway

FARMER CITY, Ill. – April 23, 2012 – The World of Outlaws continues its Midwest swing with races in three states this week.

The Outlaws return to Farmer City Raceway on Wednesday for the first time since 2003. There has been a different winner in the four World of Outlaws events at the high-banked, quarter-mile track. It also marks the first midweek show of the season for the Outlaws.

On Friday, the World of Outlaws will put on the NAPA Auto Parts Outlaw Showdown at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., where they haven’t raced since 2009. While he hasn’t won in the last five races at the high-banked, third-mile oval, Steve Kinser has claimed a record 15 victories in 38 career Outlaws events.

The weekend wraps up on Saturday when the World of Outlaws makes its first trip of the season to the famed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. In addition to winning five of the last six Knoxville Nationals, Donny Schatz has also recorded a victory in four of the last nine World of Outlaws events at the semi-banked, half mile.

Kinser, Schatz Each Earn Top-Fives in Outlaws Midwest Doubleheader

After continuous bouts with Mother Nature in March and early April, the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Series was finally able to complete a weekend of racing with consecutive nights of action in Missouri and Indiana. Donny Schatz and Steve Kinser each scored a top-five finish for Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) while Tony Stewart was solid most of Friday night’s program before a flat right-rear tire ended his bid for a top-five finish. Schatz charged the TSR No. 15 STP/Armor All/Chevrolet J&J from 19th to finish fourth Friday at the Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia. Kinser finished fifth Saturday aboard the TSR No. 11 Bass Pro Shops/J.D. Byrider/Chevrolet Maxim at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind.
