Heavy Rain Cancels Outlaws at Attica Raceway Park

Weather forces eighth rainout; Series to invade I-96 Speedway on Saturday

ATTICA, Ohio — June 1, 2012 — The World of Outlaws event at Attica Raceway Park today has been cancelled because of rain.

A storm moved into the area Thursday night and continued to drench the track with rain throughout Friday afternoon before officials called the Kistler Engines Classic around 2 p.m.

This is the eighth World of Outlaws race that has been postponed or cancelled because of weather this season.

The Outlaws are scheduled to compete in the NAPA Rumble at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich., on Saturday, which will be the series lone event in the state of Michigan this season.

Title: Kasey Kahne Racing Team Manager and Crew Chief for Cody Darrah

Background: A native of Pennsylvania, Justin grew up watching sprint car racing in a rich culture, which instilled a desire to be around the sport as he became older. After a year of wrestling in college wasn’t what he expected, Justin ventured onto the sprint car circuit and is nearing his 20-year mark as a crewman.

(Bill W) May 30, 2012 – For Kerry Madsen and the Keneric Racing #29 team, it was a solid week with the World of Outlaws.  A good showing with quick time on LIVE TV highlighted the week.  Solid finishes of ninth and seventh in Charlotte, North Carolina and Lawrenceburg, Indiana have the team carrying momentum into a big weekend in Ohio and Michigan.

Fast Talkers: Outlaws Talk Kistler Engines Classic, NAPA Rumble

Attica Raceway Park and I-96 Speedway host only World of Outlaws Sprint Car events

ATTICA, Ohio — May 30, 2012 — The World of Outlaws head to Ohio and Michigan this weekend to compete at a pair of tracks for the only time this season.

Attica Raceway Park will host the Kistler Engines Classic on Friday, which will be the Outlaws lone stop at the high-banked, third-mile oval known to slick off.

The series then ventures to the newly reconfigured I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich., on Saturday for the NAPA Rumble. The track was changed from a half mile to a semi-banked, 3/8-mile oval in the offseason. It will be the Outlaws only event in the state of Michigan this season.
