Kraig Kinser Rides Momentum to Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial Victory

The win at Beaver Dam Raceway is his fourth in the last 12 World of Outlaws races

BEAVER DAM, Wis. — July 7, 2012 — Kraig Kinser has picked a great time to peak.

The Bloomington, Ind., native has claimed four of the last 12 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series features, including Saturday night at the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial at Beaver Dam Raceway as the “Month of Money” is about to kick off.

“Once you get a win in there, hopefully they just keep coming again,” said Kinser, who moved within 71 points of the lead in the championship standings. “And hopefully they come in threes again like they did last month. Hopefully we’ve got two more left in us at least.”

The Californian claims his third World of Outlaws feature of the season at Cedar Lake

NEW RICHMOND, Wis. — July 6, 2012 — Evidently, crazy weather brings out the crazy in sprint car drivers.

An extremely humid afternoon gave way to a stormy Friday evening at Cedar Lake Speedway, where Tim Kaeding beat the weather and his aggressive World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competition in front of a near capacity crowd at the FVP Outlaw Showdown.

“Being a California kid, when we see lightning we usually run and hide,” he said with a big smile. “We were ready to go and went and had fun and did what we know how to do, and that’s chase everybody and hopefully get out in front.”

World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Ready for Canada Challenge

‘Greatest Show on Dirt’ debuts at Autodrome Granby and Cornwall Motor Speedway

GRANBY, Quebec — July 6, 2012 — As the summer heats up, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will split the famed ‘Month of Money’ with its first trip of the season to Canada.

The Outlaws will compete at two tracks for the first time during a four-race stretch between July 27-31. The Canadian visit kicks off Friday, July 27, at Autodrome Granby – a semi-banked, half-mile oval.

“I’m looking forward to it,” Joey Saldana said. “It’s always a pretty cool event up in Canada. Hopefully we can get a good turnout and we can put a good show on.”

SUPERIOR, WI – July 6, 2012 – The World of Outlaws Late Model Series ‘Wild West Tour’ got off to a wet start with rain forcing the cancelation of Friday night’s scheduled event at Amsoil Speedway.

Heavy showers struck the three-eighths-mile oval during the morning hours and forecasts call for a strong possibility of thunderstorms and periods of rain sweeping across northern Wisconsin for the remainder of the day, prompting Amsoil Speedway promoter Joe Stariha to make an early decision.
