CONCORD, NC – August 24, 2018 – The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series will make its lone appearance in the Beaver State on Wednesday, September 5 at Willamette Speedway. Wednesday will mark the Series’ sixth-ever visit to the high-banked 3/10-mile oval in Lebanon, OR. The late Jason Johnson won a competitive race at Willamette in 2017, edging Daryn Pittman and Shane Stewart in an exciting three-car battle.

A Green-White-Checkered finish brought the sellout crowd to their feet with Sweet remaining loyal to the bottom and Schatz pounding the cushion. As the NAPA Auto Parts, Kasey Kahne Racing No.49 crossed the line in front of Schatz, the city of Knoxville erupted with positive emotion in celebration of a new winner. Kyle Larson led Lap 28 and 29, but settled for third to land on the podium for the second consecutive year.

KNOXVILLE, IA – August 8, 2018 – Greg Hodnett got the early jump and never looked back to score Night One of the 5-Hour ENERGY Knoxville Nationals for the Pennsylvania Posse. Tim Shaffer threw everything he had for the lead, but settled for second with Kyle Larson, who ended the night as the high point guy, settling for third.

Brock Zearfoss hit the eight-car invert for the Feature perfectly, earning the pole for the 25-lap Feature in his first Knoxville Nationals appearance, which set up an all-Pennsylvania front row.

PEVELY, MO – August 4, 2018 – Rico Abreu took the lead away from Kraig Kinser on Lap 21 and held off charges from Tim Shaffer and David Gravel to win his first World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series Feature of the 2018 season. Abreu survived two Gravel slide jobs in the closing laps and held off the Connecticut driver for his second consecutive Ironman 55 triumph for a $20,000 payday. Jacob Allen completed the podium.
