It didn’t take long for 10-time World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series champion Donny Schatz to find a ride.

Two days after parting ways with Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing following a nearly 18-year partnership, Schatz has announced plans to team up with Tod Quiring’s Big Game Motorsports for the next three weeks with The Greatest Show on Dirt.

The Brandon, SD based team will roll out a second car beginning this weekend in Minnesota at Ogilvie Raceway (Aug. 15) and Jackson Motorplex (Aug. 16) and through the L.G. Everist Huset’s Shootout at Huset’s Speedway on Aug. 30-31, a span of seven races.

Big Game Motorsports is one of Sprint Car racing’s powerhouses, racking up 120 World of Outlaws victories (sixth most all-time) in the last 18 years including 56 since Gravel came aboard in 2021. Last year Quiring became the 10th car owner to ever earn a World of Outlaws title as Gravel also earned his first as a driver.

Schatz brings his legendary résumé to the Big Game shop. His 10 championships rank behind only Steve Kinser’s tally of 20. The 48-year-old is the Series’ third winningest driver ever with 316 checkered flags in his collection. He’s won 11 Knoxville Nationals, six Kings Royals, and six National Opens and is one of only two competitors to claim all three of the crown jewels in the same year.

The Fargo, ND driver is currently sixth in points with eight top fives and 26 top 10s through 47 races this year.

Schatz and Big Game begin their stint together this weekend in Minnesota at Ogilvie Raceway on Friday, Aug. 15 and Jackson Motorplex on Saturday, Aug. 16. For tickets, CLICK HERE.
