History
This year's World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car event honors the legacy of Ted Johnson, founder of the World of Outlaws, with the Ted Johnson Memorial.
Johnson founded the World of Outlaws in 1978 and helped shape Sprint Car racing into the national spectacle fans know today. His connection to Wisconsin ran deep—growing up in the state, he attended races at Angell Park Speedway as a kid, long before becoming one of the most influential figures in dirt track racing history.
This special event celebrates the man whose vision helped bring the best drivers in the world together under one banner.
