Inside Line Promotions – BEAVER DAM, Wis. – Daryn Pittman certainly knows how to make his way around Beaver Dam Raceway, which hosts its annual World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series event this Saturday.

The 5th annual Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial will showcase the 13th straight season the premier sprint car series has visited the racy track, where Pittman has won a series-leading three times.

“I definitely feel like when I go there I’m going to be the car to beat,” he said. “I felt like I should have won the race there last year. I made a few mistakes and finished second to (Craig) Dollansky. I was probably too nice and didn’t slide him.”

Pittman, who claimed his first career World of Outlaws championship last season, picked up victories at Beaver Dam Raceway in 2003, 2005 and 2007.

“I love going there,” he said. “It’s one of my favorite tracks. It’s one of those places I’ve always felt comfortable at, felt really good at.”

While Pittman has been a frontrunner throughout the years, eight different drivers have visited Victory Lane during the past nine World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series races at Beaver Dam Raceway.

“I feel like the track changes a lot there from top to bottom,” Pittman said. “It’s one, depending on how the track is, where different guys can win.”
