Larry Hillerud, one of the key partners in SLS Promotions and a long-time friend to the World of Outlaws family, passed away overnight Friday. Hillerud was a Sprint Car and Midget racer before turning his attention to promoting races, in particular World of Outlaws events.
With a background behind the wheel racing from the 1970s to the 1990s, Illinois native Hillerud was a friend to racers, crews and fans while working to promote events throughout the Midwest after forming the group SLS Promotions with Scott Boyd and Steve Sinclair.
The World of Outlaws family offers its deepest condolences to Larry’s wife, Sharon, and their family.
