The Battle at Cedar Lake for Dollansky

Fans,
Fans,

Cedar Lake Speedway just across the border into Wisconsin was the site of action on Friday for Craig Dollansky and the Big Game Treestands #7 team as they embarked on a long East Coast swing following a couple of days at the Minnesota shop.
As the race program got underway, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ made the most of being one of the last cars to qualify as he rocketed around the 3/8-mile track 9th fastest among the 28 cars.  Cracking the twelve car inversion for the heat races put the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim outside the front row for heat #3 where Dollansky powered to the lead and the victory.  The Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products #7 then lined up seventh for the dash and lost a couple of spots in the 8-lap event.

In the 35-lap A-Main the MobileStar sponsored sprinter took the green from row five and spun out after being involved in an accident in turn three on the opening lap.  Forced to restart at the tail of the field, Dollansky powered to the highside of the high-banked 3/8-mile to advance to thirteenth before the next caution just after the halfway point on lap 19.

Unfortunately on the ensuing restart the Elk River, Minnesota native again found himself in harms way as Steve Kinser spun in turns 3 & 4 with Dollansky taking evasive action to avoid the #11 but slight contact resulted in a flat tire on the Big Game Treestands #7.  DJ, Luke, and Nathan were able to make repairs and restart at the tail.  With only a few circuits remaining, Dollansky worked his way up to fifteenth before a yellow with 7 to go and then advanced another handful of positions to 10th before the checkered flag flew.

More World of Outlaws action in Wisconsin resumes tonight at Beaver Dam Raceway for the Jim Boyd Memorial.
