SPEAK OF THE DEVIL: Shane Stewart and his No. 2 Larson Marks Racing team will head to Texas this week to race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, competing in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series Texas Outlaw Nationals on Friday and Saturday night.

CLOSE TO HOME: Growing up in nearby Bixby, Okla., Shane Stewart is very familiar with Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas. He won the preliminary night of the 2001 Winter Nationals and also has won several American Sprint Car Series events at the half-mile oval.

LOOKING AT LAST YEAR: Last year at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, Stewart earned quick time and finished third in his heat race on Saturday. He gained two positions in the dash to earn the outside front row starting spot. After taking the lead on lap seven and leading for nine laps, Stewart slipped back to earn the runner-up finish.

STEWART ON DEVIL’S BOWL: “I am always excited to get back and race around home in front of friends and family,” said Stewart. “Devil’s Bowl has always had a special place in my heart, because I grew up racing the Outlaws at this track. We ran second here last year, so we are hoping this is the weekend we get back to victory lane.”

LARSON MARKS RACING OWNERS: Larson Marks Racing is co-owned by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) driver Kyle Larson and NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) driver Justin Marks. Marks also owns GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, N.C. and is co-owner of HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks, a four-car NASCAR K&N Pro Series East team. Larson will be competing for his first NSCS win and Marks for his first NXS win this weekend at Richmond International Raceway.

LARSON MARKS RACING TEAM: The Larson Marks Racing team is led by crew chief Scotty Martin of Camano Island, Wash., with Andrew Seamans from Syracuse, N.Y., and Heath Moyle of Middleburg, Pa.

LOOKING AHEAD: Following Saturday’s race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, Larson Marks Racing will next compete at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., on Tuesday, April 26.
