Last year Craig Dollansky achieved a milestone at Lebanon Valley Speedway racing to his 50th career World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series victory.  On Sunday, the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team returned to West Lebanon, New York eager to build on a streak of winning 3 of the last 4 events at the ½-mile.

With this year marking the 12th appearance for ‘The Crowd Pleaser’, a lightning-fast track in qualifying saw 10 of the 25 drivers time in faster than the previous track record with Dollansky going 2nd quick at 16.213 seconds.  After racing from fourth to 3rd in heat action, a six pill inversion for the dash then put the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim inside row three where the Elk River, Minnesota native again advanced one position finishing 4th in the 6-lap race.

When the green flag waved on the 25-lap A-Main the MobileStar #7 held fifth in the early stages of the feature working the highside battling Daryn Pittman.  Following a caution on lap 6, Dollansky slipped to eighth around the midway point but worked his way up to sixth before the next yellow on lap 23.  With only two laps remaining and a green-white-checkered finish to settle it, another tough restart battling a right-rear tire that was going flat dropped the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products backed sprinter to 8th when the checkered flag waved.

“We had a good night going until A-Main time running fifth coming out of turn two on the opening lap,” explained Dollansky who currently is 4th in the championship standings.  “We had a restart and our motor stumbled and lost a few spots.  In the end we were lucky to get to the finish line given that we had lost quite a bit of air in our right-rear tire.  I was disappointed with our finish at a track we have been strong at in the past but this Eyecon Trail Cameras team will put it behind us and go to work on preparing for Tuesday at Rolling Wheels.”

The Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team will now travel to Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in Elbridge, New York for racing tomorrow, July 23rd.
