KANSAS CITY, Kan. (June 29, 2015) – It’s a relatively calm travel week for the World of Outlaws, but still chalk full of racing action. On Wednesday, July 1, the winged warriors will display their driving skills at Lakeside Speedway. The original June 6 date was postponed to Wednesday because of rain.
Saldana finished a very competitive third at Beaver Dam, Wisc. Saturday, June 27, and he is excited about going to Lakeside with momentum on his side. Though he has raced well at Lakeside in the past, he has yet to score a victory there.
Last season, the Motter team qualified seventh and finished seventh in the A Main.
The World of Outlaws have released a wanted poster that includes The Brownsburg Bullet and other Outlaws that will be competing Friday and Saturday, July 3-4, at Dodge City Raceway Park. The Motter Equipment HE&M Saw Beltline Body Shop team will be set to thunder at Dodge City Raceway Park where Saldana is a five-time winner. He drove to victory lane in 2006, 2008, twice in 2009 and 2010. It will be the first doubleheader for the Outlaws since Williams Grove in mid-May.
In 2014, Saldana was the No. 1 qualifier Friday at Dodge City and finished fourth. On Saturday, the Brownsburg Bullet qualified fifth and finished seventh.
Saldana has eight quick times on his resume, more than any other driver on the Outlaws trail this season. He is currently fifth in point standings and is looking to add to this season’s victory at Kokomo Speedway.
