Thursday’s opener to the 44th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals has been canceled with severe storms invading the Jackson, Minnesota area prior to Hot Laps.
A field of 40 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series entries were signed-in for competition prior to the rain at Jackson Motorplex. The event will not be made up, but the weekend will continue on Friday, August 19 with preliminary action and then the $25,000-to-win finale on Saturday, August 20.
For those with a three-day pit pass, you may bring it to the track tomorrow and receive a refund from Thursday’s rain out. Those with one-day passes will be good to go for Friday’s preliminary show. If you purchased any online general admission tickets, those will automatically be refunded. Any buyers at the box office can mail-in their ticket for a refund.
Following this weekend, The Greatest Show on Dirt completes The Second Leg of the Northern Tour at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND on Friday, August 26 and Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, ND on Saturday, August 27. For tickets, CLICK HERE.
