Inside Line Promotions – KOKOMO, Ind. – Indiana sprint car fans will have one more chance to watch native Steve Kinser compete full time with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series at the famed Kokomo Speedway.

Highlighted by the “Salute to the King” tour, the World of Outlaws event presented by High Performance Lubricants will return to the quarter-mile oval on Tuesday, Sept. 16, after the previously scheduled event was rained out in June.

Kinser, who lives less than two hours from the track, has earned a series-best six victories at Kokomo Speedway. That includes the inaugural World of Outlaws event at the track in 1978.

“All the Kinsers have ran pretty good there,” he said. “I have a lot of race fans there. It’s good to get back there and see them.”

Kinser’s son, Kraig, has also captured World of Outlaws wins at Kokomo Speedway in 2005 and 2012.

“That will always be a special place for me,” he said. “It’s definitely got a lot of tradition. My grandpa ran there a lot. My uncles and cousins ran there. It’s just one of those places I really enjoy racing at, a lot of it because of the family ties there.”
