The 2023-24 iRacing World of Outlaws Thrustmaster Sprint Car Series heads to yet another home track for the Pennsylvania Posse, Abbottstown’s Lincoln Speedway. Following last week’s battle at Williams Grove, just 20 miles away from Lincoln, Evan Seay claimed the points lead as former leader Alex Bergeron failed to qualify for the main event.

The action at Lincoln starts on Monday night, December 4, at 9PM ET, live on both DIRTVision and iRacing’s social media channels.

Last Race: Timothy Smith had the first perfect night of the season in the third race at Williams Grove. He scored the quickest lap in qualifying, won his heat race, and led every single lap he was on the track to take the feature win. While Alex Bergeron was able to win both of the previous feature races heading in, he didn’t even make it out of the Last Chance Race, denting his chances at a possible fourth career championship. Smith, who had a rough start to the year, jumped up to 11th in the standings with the win. Two-time iRacing World of Outlaws Late Models champion Seay now controls the championship lead with seven races still left to contest.

Last Season: With Lincoln’s addition to iRacing in the 2023 Season 1 build a year ago, the venue made its debut on the 2022-23 Sprint Cars schedule in the fourth round of the season. Smith was also fast in the inaugural event, scoring the quick time in qualifying and winning the pole through winning his heat. Late race woes gave way to rookie Kenny Miller, who was second in qualifying and the second heat winner. Miller led the final nine laps, scoring his first career victory.

Track Info: Lincoln Speedway is a high-banked, 3/8-mile clay oval in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. The venue “Where Action is the Attraction” has hosted local and national events regularly since 1953, especially including the big names of the World of Outlaws.

Race Format: These races feature qualifying and heat racing to determine the 20 drivers that will compete in the main race. There will be four heat races of 10 laps each, where the top four will advance forward through to the main event. There will also be two 12-lap consolation races where the top two finishers in each will move on. In the 35-lap feature races, caution laps do not count. This is the first Sprint Car season since iRacing’s Dirt Refresh was launched in June.

Next Up: A trip to Pevely, Missouri will mark the halfway point of the 2023-24 season as the iRacing World of Outlaws Thrustmaster Sprint Car Series takes on Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 on December 11. I-55, added in the 2022 Season 2 build, also made its debut on the 2022-23 schedule and was won by James Edens.
