Rain Cancels NAPA Auto Parts Outlaw Showdown at I-80 Speedway

Weather ends World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series return to Nebraska track

GREENWOOD, Neb. – June 9, 2013 – Rain has canceled tonight’s World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series NAPA Auto Parts Outlaw Showdown at I-80 Speedway, the final event of a three-day Midwest swing for the Outlaws.

Rain moved into the area Saturday night, and while officials were able to expedite the event at Lakeside Speedway, rain was pouring at I-80. After the best efforts of the track crew, it was clear there would be no way to have the track and grounds ready for racing tonight, forcing World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series and track officials to cancel the event, which will not be rescheduled.

For patrons who bought their tickets in advance through participating NAPA Auto Parts stores, take your receipt back to the store for a refund. For fans who bought their ticket through SLS promotions, contact SLS Promotions. For any other questions regarding tickets, contact SLS at 815-344-2023.
