Bio
It was clear from his earliest days racing in California that Jason Meyers was on a path toward the top of Sprint Car racing. The Clovis, CA native spent the latter portion of his teenage years battling the west coast's toughest competition with the Northern Auto Racing Club during the 1990s.
At the turn of the century, Meyers shifted his focus to the national scene by joining the World of Outlaws Gumout Series in 2000, picking up a pair of wins on his way to a fourth place finish in the standings.
That year proved to be a steppingstone as Meyers made the jump to The Greatest Show on Dirt in 2001. His first World of Outlaws win came that season at none other than the historic Knoxville Raceway driving for Craig Cormack.
Meyers continued to progress throughout the 2000s and came so close to a championship with back-to-back second place finishes in 2008 and 2009. The runner-ups fueled the hunger even more, and the result was Meyers taking the Elite Racing No. 14 to two consecutive titles in 2010 and 2011, becoming the first California-born World of Outlaws champion.
