Dollansky Gearing up for Clay County Cup

After a very successful twelve race East Coast swing that included two victories, seven top-fives, and only three finishes outside the top-ten, Craig Dollansky and the Big Game Treestands #7 team return to the Midwest and Clay County Fair Speedway on Friday as CDR Promotions once again promote the World of Outlaws for the sixth straight year.

As the most recent winner at the 3/8-mile track on September 16th of last year, Dollansky is looking forward to getting back to the Spencer, Iowa facility for the Clay County Cup presented by Budweiser and putting on another great show for the fans.

“It’s great to have another show in June and we’re looking forward to it after winning the race last year,” commented the Elk River, Minnesota native who currently runs 3rd in the series championship standings.  “We’re going to work hard to have a great race track like last fall which put on a good show.  The Dunkins are coming up to help out with the race track again so we’ll work hard on that as well as the overall promotion of the event and it should be a good fan experience. We’ll also have the non-wing sprint cars running with us so it’s shaping up to be a good event.”

If you’re in the Spencer area be sure to tune in to KICD 107.7 FM Friday morning as ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ will be a guest during the sports segment and share some thoughts on the 2012 season up to this point as well as the role of promoting racing.

Along with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’, the Heartland Racing Association non-winged sprints will be in competition.  Gates open at 5:00PM with cars hitting the track for hotlaps at 6:45PM.

Tickets will also be on sale during Friday’s program for September 14th when CDR Promotions once again brings the World of Outlaws back to Clay County Fair Speedway for their second visit of 2012.
