With 22 drivers signed in where Dollansky recorded a ninth place finish in 2011, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ rocketed to 5th fastest in qualifying by turning a lap of 11.033 seconds around the ¼-mile. Starting inside row two for heat #3, the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim just missed out on a spot in the dash crossing the checkered flag in 3rd.
In the 40-lap A-Main the MobileStar sponsored sprinter started inside row six. After a red flag on the opening lap halted the main event, a lengthy stretch of green flag racing ensued with Dollansky cracking the top ten until a yellow with 2 circuits remaining. Another caution on the restart moved the #7 up to 9th where the Elk River, Minnesota native maintained position in the final laps to record a top-ten finish.
Holding a 17 point lead in the championship standings, the Big Game Treestands #7 team now travel to Missouri and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 as they aim to defend the grueling 55-lap Ironman 55 on Saturday.
