Dollansky Completes Kansas with Eighth

Fans,
Fans,

The month of June came to a close on Saturday at Lakeside Speedway for the Big Game Treestands #7 team as the World of Outlaws made their fourth consecutive and final stop of 2012 in ‘The Sunflower State’.  Making his fifth appearance at the half-mile, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ has never finished outside the top ten and recorded an 8th place finish last year.

With 21 drivers signed in to do battle at the track located in Kansas City, Kansas, Dollansky posted another strong qualifying effort in 3rd at 14.212 seconds, a margin just five-hundredths back of quick-time.  Heat race action saw the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim start fourth and finish 3rd.  A dash inversion of eight then put the Elk River, Minnesota native outside row three and finish 7th.

In the 30-lap A-Main the MobileStar #7 lined up inside row four.  As the main event got underway, racing wouldn’t stay green for long as an accident in turn three resulted in a complete restart.  A great restart then saw ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ use the lowside to motor past three cars and claim fourth down the backstretch.  On the following go-around Dollansky again used the same line to race past Kerry Madsen exiting turn two and hold third before the final caution on lap 6.  Unfortunately this double-file restart wouldn’t be as pleasant as Dollansky fell back a few positions.  In the remaining laps the track slicked off and began to lay rubber as the #7 sprinter maintained position and recorded an 8th place finish.

The Big Game Treestands #7 team will now travel to Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota for midweek action on Tuesday, July 3rd.
