42nd Annual Jackson Nationals Format

Prelim Nights

  • 32 to 48 cars
    • Event Points accumulated for all events except the dash
      • See attached points schedule
    • All competitors draw and Time Trial as one group
    • Split into 4 Heats with an invert of 6
    • Top 2 to dash by finish
      • Dash drivers will redraw for starting positions
      • Dash finish lines up rows 1-4 in Prelim Feature
    • Positions 3rd, 4th, and 5th transfer to Feature and line up by finishing position and line up behind dash cars
      • Heat 1 3rd will start 9th, Heat 2 3rd starts 10th, etc.
    • Positions 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th transfer to LCS by finishing position
      • Top 2 in time that did not transfer to Feature will start on the front row of the LCS
      • Heat 1 6th starts 3rd, Heat 2 6th starts 4th, etc.
      • Transfer 4 to Feature tagging the tail by finish
    • Positions 10th, 11th, and 12th transfer to the C Feature by finish
      • Heat 1 10th starts pole, Heat 2 10th starts 2nd, etc.
      • Transfer 4 to back of LCS
      • If no C Feature is ran, cars will fill back of LCS by finishing position
    • 49 and over
      • Event Points accumulated for all events except the dash
      • Competitors draw and Time Trial in one group
      • 6 Heats lined up with an invert of 4 from Time Trials
      • Winner of each heat to dash
        • Dash drivers will redraw for starting positions
        • Dash finish lines up rows 1-3 in Prelim Feature
      • Positions 2nd and 3rd will transfer to Feature by finish and line up behind dash cars
        • Heat 1 2nd starts 7th, Heat 2 2nd starts 8th, etc.
      • Positions 4th, 5th, and 6th will transfer to LCS by finishing position
        • Top 2 in time that did not transfer to Feature will start on the front row of the LCS
        • Transfer 6 tagging the tail of Feature by finish
      • Balance of Heats go to a C Feature lining up by finishing positions
        • Heat 1 7th starts pole, Heat 2 7th starts 2nd, etc.
        • Top 4 tag tail of LCS

 

Saturday

  • Top 4 in accumulative points will be locked into the King of the Hill dash
  • Balance of field will be split into 4 Qualifiers
    • Winner to King of the Hill Dash
  • Positions 2nd, 3rd and 4th will transfer to the Feature by finishing position
    • Qualifier 1 2nd starts 9th, Qualifier 2 2nd starts 10th, etc.
  • Positions 5th, 6th and 7th transfer to LCS by finishing position
    • Top 2 in Points that didn’t transfer to feature will start on the front row of the LCS
    • Qualifier 1 5th starts 3rd, Qualifier 2 5th starts 4th, etc.
    • Transfer 4 tagging the tail of feature by finish
  • Positions 8th and above transfer to a C-Main
    • Lined up by finish
    • Top 4 transfer to LCS
  • King of the Hill Dash
    • All cars involved in infield ready to go
    • 4 cars, 3 lap segments Can be more or less laps
    • Qualifier Winners will start and line up by qualifiers. Qualifier 1 1st, Qualifier 2 2nd, etc.
    • Top 2 move onto face the 3rd and 4th place points cars.
    • Higher points car decides lane for the front row, winner of previous segment decides lane for the 2nd row
    • Continue until the last 4 left on track
    • Feature lines up the first 4 rows by King of the Hill finish
    • 3rd and 4th of segment 1 start 7th and 8th, 3rd and 4th of segment 2 start 5th and 6th, and last 4 cars race and will line up the first 2 rows by that finish

  • C-main 5th place will be 2 points less than last car in the Last Chance Showdown If a C-main is ran..
  • Last Chance Showdown will be 20 cars maximum.
  • World of Outlaw Provisionals are given event points for the position they finished in their preliminary race. All cars behind a provisional car in the Feature will be moved up.
  • Dash participants do not receive any event points.
