Track History
"The Little Track With The Big Action"
Path Valley Speedway was built in 1986 by Roy McGee and his family. Roy's love of dirt track racing and NASCAR, turned into yet another new adventure with his son Gary racing microsprints. Roy felt that Path Valley should have a racetrack to compete with Shippensburg and Hill Valley Speedways. It became a reality with his sons and daughter as he designed and built Path Valley Speedway which was completed in June of 1987 and run by the family for over 10 years. It hosted many top name drivers from in and out of the area.
In 2000 the speedway was purchased by current owners, Jack and Vicki Flowers and John Winsett. Flowers and Winsett have been committed to keeping Roy McGee's dream of racing in the valley alive and well. The track had the privilege of hosting a race a few years ago in McGee's honor with McGee attending. Sadly, Roy McGee passed away in February of 2015. Von McGee, grandson of the late Roy McGee, still races at Path Valley in the Wingless Super Sportsman division.
Path Valley Speedway continues to be a hot spot for auto racing with its high swooping turns and 10 degree banking. The track itself is a 1/4 mile clay oval that produces a lot of two and three wide racing action every week.
Path Valley Speedway holds racing every Friday, and Saturday night with the occasional Sunday show. Stock car racing is primarily held on Friday nights along with the Wingless Super Sportsman division. Saturday nights host the Sprint car divisions with the occasional traveling series headlining the card.
